About
Jane Bradley is an encaustic artist whose work explores form, surface, and texture through both painting and sculptural vessels. Jane lives in Florida, and hails from Lexington, Kentucky, where she was raised among the aesthetic splendor of the rolling hills and limestone palisades of that beautiful part of the world. She chose to study at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.
Jane primarily focuses on encaustic painting, being drawn to the wax’s luminous layers and its capacity to add an ethereal depth to the piece. Recently, she has expanded into creating encaustic vessels, combining her love of texture and layered wax surfaces with three-dimensional form. Her vessels have both an organically ancient yet contemporary feel. Jane’s work reflects an appreciation for the encaustic process and the story each object holds, while inviting the viewer to touch.
